North Sea Jazz July 13th
Yesterday evening again a concert of Katie and her band at the North Sea Jazz but now as part of the festival itself.
We had hoped for a different setlist then the night before but it was the same.
The public was however more enthusiastic than the night before.
This worked out fine for the band as well because they were joking around with each other all the time.
Katie liked it to be part of this festival and loved to be in Rotterdam.
Her for most people best known song Nine Million Bicycles got an enormous ovation from an audience of mainly real jazz lovers.
On Dutch TV 4 songs of this concert were broadcasted and Katie was also interviewed.
She told the reporter that she don't want to call her music jazz and that her music is made up from all sorts of styles.
Thanks to Alice of AW Promotions we got the opportunity to speak to Katie and her manager/producer Mike Batt.
Later on we will write a story about that.
It was a splendid night and for all those people who are going to see the German concerts we wish you a great time.
