New Album: Secret Symphony

We wrote about it before that Katie will be starting to work on a new album. And now Mike Batt twitters on June 28 the following:
"Met with Katie today to plan new, very special album, - for November release"

Today the Official Website announced the release date of the new album "Secret Symphony" will be 14 November.
There is also some more information given about the songs on the new album.
Katie and Mike Batt wrote new songs for the album. Earlier Mike Batt already let us know that the new album
would also include the cover "Gold In Them Hills" (Ron Sexsmith). Now Katie also reveals that the album will also include
the covers "Too Long At The Fair" (Bonnie Raitt) and some more well known ones like  "Keeping The Dream Alive
(Münchener Freiheit)".

This is what Katie herself has to say about the album:
"This album was going to be my 'singer's album' says Katie. I had always wanted to do this one day; singing other people's songs brings
something out of you and your voice that isn't perhaps where you would have gone vocally with your own material. It stretches you.
As it happened Mike and I did write a couple of new ones, but the general idea was to find songs by great writers such as Ron Sexsmith
('Gold In Them Hills') and a favourite song of mine, originally recorded by Bonnie Raitt ('Too Long At The Fair) plus some more well
known ones like 'Keeping The Dream Alive'."

According to Mike Batt the Album release date will be postponed to February Next Year because they want to do more promo first.

"Probably putting Katie's album back to Feb. Got it ready and everything (sounds fab) but not fair on her to rush the prep/marketing/promo."

"Katie is in great health. Never been happier. Album sounds fantastic. Just waiting until we can line it up properly in TV/radio/retail."
