Katie @ HMH (Review)

Last Wednesday was the day that we saw Katie return on stage in The Netherlands.
In a almost sold out HMH she performed 22 songs.
The atmosphere was amazing and Katie and her band enjoyed every moment of it.
Her voice was, in spite of not singing for a while due to the postponed tourdates, as good and pure as ever.
It's still a miracle that Katie can produce such a amazing sound with her voice.
The specials effects such a the smoke machine used during some songs gave it all a somewhat mystic effect.
The white sort of soap balls falling down from above during the song  'My Aphrodisiac Is You' gave also a surprising
effect and Katie walked happily trough them. A real nice moment in the show was that Katie told the audience that she had
her mother with her on this tour and that this naughty lady wanted to visit the Red light district in Amsterdam.
She took a walk there, with a little bit embarresed Katie, amazed about the 'Toy Collection' displayed in the shops.
After telling this all she dedicated the song  'The One I Love Is Gone'  to her mother.

This was the setlist:

01 The Closest Thing To Crazy, 02 Just Like Heaven, 03 If You Were A Sailboat , 04 The Flood, 05 Tiny Alien
